More Information about Domain Registration:
There are generally no rules regarding what kind of domain name ending (suffix) you can or should get. People are most familiar with ".com" for a commercial business. There are many alternatives such as .cc, .biz, etc. If you are an organization (such as a non-profit) you can get a .org, but you don't have to. It's up to you. Focus more on keeping the domain short, rather than on the suffix. Try to keep it short, sweet and memorable.
Technically you can get as many domains as you'd like; however, you must acquire at least one domain in order for your website to be accessible. Keep in mind that domains must be renewed annually (much like renting a house that you can never own).
You can
search here to see if your domain is available.
How Domain Registration Works:
First, you decide what name you would like to identify your website. Then search to see if the domain is available. You are really only limited by which domains others have already registered.
Click here to see if the domain you want is available and find suggestions or alternatives. Once you have selected your domain and determined that it is available, purchase a domain credit in our shopping cart. Remember that some domain types have a higher yearly cost. When we receive payment, we'll register the domain(s) for you.
